#/ How to calculate number of bricks in wall:-

(1) STANDARD SIZE OF BRICK:-
In India,standard size of bricks is 190×90×90mm

Length=190mm

Breadth=90mm
Height=90mm

(2) THICKNESS OF WALL:-
Two types of wall----------
(a) 1 brick wall
(b) 1/2 brick wall
Thickness of 1 brick wall=0•2m=20cm
Thickness of 1/2 brick wall=0•1m=10cm

(3) MORTAR:-
The thickness of mortar=10mm
#CALCULATION:-
For 1 brick wall,

          Volume of wall=Length×Height×Thickness of
                                       Wall
                                    =12•5×4×0•2m
                                    =10m3
For 1 brick with mortar,

         Volume of brick=190×90×90(10mm mortar                                               thickness on all sides)
                                      =(190+10)×(90+10)×(90+10)
                                      =200×100×100
                                      =2000000
                                      =0•002m3
CALCULATION:-
Number of bricks=volume of wall/volume of 1                                                                   brick with mortar
                                =10m3/0•002m3
                                =5000 no. Of bricks.
For 1/2 brick wall,
Number of bricks=no of bricks for 1brick wall/2
                                =5000/2=2500 no.of bricks.
